one of the easiest ways to “go green” is to bring your own bags to the grocery store, or really any store for that matter. it’s a bit easier to remember the reusable bags when going to the grocery store as most times you plan out your shopping list and make a specific trip to go there. those big bulky bags they have available at most stores nowadays however are not really conducive to sporadic trips on the way home from work or stuffing in your purse for a trip to the mall. these guys however make the art of byob (bring your own bag, that is) much easier…
that’s 6 bags in total in that small space |
the aftermath to load up on groceries for the week the bag of four bags on the top is from Target, the orange bag is from Earth Fare (an amazing healthy supermarket that opened right as i was leaving Auburn), and the blue one from Blue Avocado (which you can get at places like Tuesday Morning or other closeout retailers) or online. they also have other reusable bags, like mesh ones for fruits & veggies that are so great along with coolers and such as well.

i’ve found too that when you rely on only the bags you have with you (especially in retail locations!), you are much more inclined to buy only out of necessity & not on a whim. all fantastic ways of saving money all around, and to that i say amen.
