As many of you well know, I am rather obsessed with cardigans. Seriously, I kid you not, it is indeed my staple item to the point that I have been referenced (on several occasions, mind you) as the “the girl who always wears a cardigan” when someone is describing me to another person. Whatevs. I get cold easy, don’t hate. So when I saw this on Pinterest & had to try it.
No Sew Cardigan
I loved this shirt (from GAP naturally) but it is on the short side these days and hits right at the top of my pants (as it’s from my undergrad years) so I hardly (read never) wear it since I have to wear a longer tank underneath and it sticks out a good bit. Well I saw this on idea on Pinterest to turn that “too small shirt” into a quick and easy cardigan. Here’s how to do it…
- Lay out the shirt
- Cut right up the middle
- Fold over edges and use hemming tape to secure
- Add a button to one side to jazz it up a touch, and viola! (ok – so here you do have to sew)
