SNOW DAY!

It snowed y’all! In Alabama. Not that typical half of a flurry that lasts about two minutes and doesn’t even stick that us Southerner’s cling to claiming to have had a “white” Christmas/winter. I’m talking about the real deal, full on, fluffy white precipitation mixed with a lot of wind and absolute frigidness. I mean, it was practically a blizzard. And I loved every second of it! Now you must be thinking I’m absolutely crazy if you know me in the least because I hate the cold, and inevitably still always rather chilly despite living in the south. And this is so true. I am constantly armed with a cardigan and scarf to ward off such weather to no avail, however snow changes the whole game.

It’s supposed to be cold when it snows. You are supposed to be cold when it snows. And the seventeen layers I normally adorn are all of the sudden acceptable and not crazy! But most importantly, it’s at this time that I no longer have chill bumps 24/7. For the strangest reason, my body is completely ok with being frigid in the snow & I even start to warm up. But the second those flurries stop, you better believe I’ll be needing a extra blanket or two even if the temperature goes up! Now I will never be able to live in a place where it’s quite cold all of the time, but every once in a while, it’s delightful 🙂

{AND DON’T FORGET TO ENTER THE FIT BIT ONE GIVEAWAY!! Monday is the last day!!}

    I saw some pictures of the snow in B'ham yesterday! It's so exciting and… cold. I'm an AL girl living in NW Florida and it's dang cold here too. You can keep the snow, I'd like my sunshine back!

    I was so excited when it started snowing yesterday!! There is still a lot of snow on the ground at my house since I live Northeast of B'ham 🙂 That makes me one happy girl!

    I live on the east side of Bham and was SO excited to experience the flurries all afternoon! It was fun! I blogged about the experience we all had downtown today, too! http://lovelaughterhappyeverafter.blogspot.com/2013/01/its-winter-wonderland.html
