Awesome things in the mail + Meeting new women + Encouragement = Cara Box

Kaitlyn at Wifessionals started this monthly box swap. Each month there will be a different theme. Anything from a season, to a color, to a topic (like fashion or childhood). Everyone is paired up with another blogger and she with another. That way, you get to know two new bloggers.

Towards the middle of the month you will create a box or package, specifically for the woman you were paired with, and ship it off to her. You will then get a Cara Box from the girl who was paired to get you. See what it’s all about it here and think about joining in next time!

This months theme was Club Sexy. The plan was to make a fun/ideal date for you and your significant other, or create the best girls night out ever for all the single ladies. I was paired with precious Logan at Southern Sunflowers & Coffee Beans and sent her a little bundle of goodies for her and her husband. Sweet Lauren at Simply Southern. Simply Lauren. was paired with me and actually was able to give me my Cara Box in person!

And oh my dear goodness did Lauren do a rockstar job! She NAILED the theme and had a perfect package put together complete with little notes for each item as a sort of “clue”. And y’all know how much I love scavenger hunts if you’ve ever read about our proposal! My box was complete with my absolute favorite coffee & a precious mug to hold it in to start the day off right. Then there was nail polish, lip gloss, and eye shadow in neutrals to primp simplistically for the night. A recipe magazine from none other than the queen of southern cooking herself to make a yummy meal at home since the husband and I love to cook for date nights and a movie to stay in a cuddle up to. My idea night for sure! AND, it wasn’t just any movie, but The Perks of Being a Wallflower, one of my all time favorite books. Seriously, Lauren did incredible. Best. CaraBox. Ever. Yeah, I said it. 🙂

So I said Lauren was able to give me my box in person, here’s how! This past weekend a group of fellow Alabama (and one Mississippi!) bloggers gathered together to share coffee and a meal. We chatted for hours about blogging, boys, food, and simply just life. It was so wonderful to get to know the ladies we’ve all read about. The husband was a little worried that there might be some crazies at this gathering considering the lack of reliability in the internet world these days. I mean between Manti Te’o and the entire show Catfish, let’s be honest – you just never know if people are who they say they are! But these ladies were indeed who they claim to be and I couldn’t have had more fun. It felt like a reunion of old friends rather than a gathering of new acquaintances. So encouraged by these ladies and can’t wait to continue to get to such such wonderful women.
