Griffin Survivor iPad Case | Review & Giveaway

I absolutely love our iPad and use it all the time for a variety of activities from blogging to work related items as well. As a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), the iPad is such a helpful tool when doing my job. What does a BCBA do you might ask? So glad you did, I’d love to share 🙂 I  work with kiddos and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other Developmental or Physical Disabilities on reducing maladaptive or problematic behaviors and increasing positive adaptive behaviors and skill acquisition. I also train teachers and parents on applied behavior analysis and the plans I write for the kids. Basically, I get to work with a lot of really neat families and teachers and some pretty amazing little ones making their quality of life better and teaching them how to be more independent. You can read all about my new job here. I could talk to you for days about this, so please ask away if you have any questions!
Anyhow…back to the iPad. It is such a great tool to utilize teaching my kiddos but let’s just be honest, safety of electronic devices doesn’t always rank up there on the importance scale of most little ones. Therefore, to keep the iPad safe it is imperative that you have a case that can withstand some lack of loving. Now that I am using my iPad during my consulting, I wanted to have just such a case to protect our expensive little baby, and man does the Survivor™ deliver!
Over the past few years I have used a lot of iPads and therefore a lot of different cases at the schools/agencies I have worked with, and to be honest a lot of them just don’t cut it in the way of protection. The Griffin Survivor™ Case however has proven over and over to do exactly what it says – be armor for your iPad! It has been dropped in a toilet, juice spilled on, spit on, dropped, stepped on, and even peed on. Yeah I said that. It has even been straight up chunked across the room and was still rocking away on the app it was playing not a slight bit of damage done. Ridiculous. Also, it meets or exceeds US Military Standards, meaning that it is all of following:
  • Sealed ports help to block blown sand/dust
  • Rigid internal frame minimizes shock/drop damage
  • Silicone cladding absorbs vibration
  • Integral Display shield helps deflect wind-blown rain

It fits both the new iPad and the iPad 2 and is still thin enough to place inside of another zipper type case or bag for travel. If you’re feeling crafty, check out my DIY Burlap iPad case tutorial. It’s probably the only heavy duty case that I have worked with that not only works, but isn’t overwhelmingly huge and bulky. It’s sleek, which is nice, because it’s not too manly for the ladies, and the guys like it too. A true win win all around in a family of any kind. It also has a stand so you can prop it up to watch movies or play a game easier. It’s just plain awesome y’all. I was fortunate to have been gifted two of these cases from a family friend, one of which I’ve been using and I’ve been instructed to pass along. So I figured, as Christmas has just ended and Valentine’s day is right around the corner, the giving and receiving of iPads must be abundant these days. And what better gift than an awesome case to go along with your new techy toy? So because of that, I am giving the other one away to one of you lucky readers! That’s an $80+ case for free y’all. Get excited. All you have to do is enter below!

Best of luck : )
