Now, for me, these two events (Easter & Spring Break) are so vastly different from one another and really are rather in their own categories so I was quite worried if I would be able to find one memory that outweighed the others of two differ completely. I gravitated to Spring Break memories over Easter ones, as Easter for us is not far too different than most Sundays; full of family, great food, and plenty of worship. I thought of the mission trips I had taken with our campus ministry {which I will be sharing starting next month in a new series dedicated to out of the country travel!}, and of the countless beach trips with friends. So many wonderful images came to mind, but as I pondered, several things came to mind that lead me to one particular even that I will forever hold dear. SB09…
There are simply some things that will never leave your memory, and this is one of those weeks. How do I even begin to describe the week that is continually brought up at gatherings of our closest friends to this very day? A week in Fort Morgan for Spring Break 2009. A week filled with so much laughter and fun, fully documented with “confessionals” and all. Sun, fish, wicked wave margaritas, dancing, “Africa”, schwaa!, crab hunting, “cupsies”, the round table & chivalry, “I’m not native to this area!”, beach pong, the little green man, and oh so very many more memories! So here’s to SB09, a wonderful week with some incredible people!
