Around the blogging world lately there has been a lot of questions of “why”. Why people started blogging, why they continue to do so, and what in the world they are expecting from this space we call the internet. So many girls have been, well, a bit dramatic in blog land recently and because of that, I’ve really started to evaluate just why in the world I am doing this.
My husband and I have been married for a little over two years now, and I have been out of grad school for a little over three years. There is still so very much in my life that I am pondering, exploring, and growing in. This space is meant to write about that. From recipes, to crafty projects, fashion, faith, and everything in between; this place will hold just that. This is not my full time job, but it is something I very much enjoy, and I never want to step back form this place and it to have become something I never intended it to be…
I’m learning that life is actually a slow progression of moving towards completeness. That through simplicity we find freedom. By pure joy we find true happiness. And in the many facets of my life, I am learning to be content even in the unfinished messes. And that is what this space is for. To share this journey with glimpses of those lingering thoughts of faith, academia, living the life of simplicity and the like. To divulge recipes and tips I’ve found useful in making a space a home. And to walk together as I attempt to fight for the heart of my King and strive to be the best wife, daughter, sister, friend & behavior analyst I can be while bringing all the glory to the One who deserves all the praise.
This is an attempt to put into words my life of trying to live as simply and creatively as I can while serving the Lord, loving others, and finding an abundance of joy and laughter along the way! I hope you will join me in this journey of life.

On Mondays, I tackle deeper questions during Coffee & Conversation so I encourage you stop by, grab a cup, and join in with us! Also, as I love to travel, a new series will be starting up to collect all these adventures in one space as I document my time Around the World.

I love "This is an attempt to put into words my life of trying to live as simply and creatively as I can while serving the Lord, loving others, and finding an abundance of joy and laughter along the way."
When you asked me why I started blogging, I couldn't really think that day . . .but your words . . .minus the "live as simply" because I don't do a good job of that would sort of sum up why I blog also. Another reason is because as I age, I don't want to forget the priceless moments nor the mundane moments of life. So many of those moments are now recorded in my blog along with thoughts about life and love and even recipes. I'm glad you are my daughter-in-law!!

I am always interested in why people blog too. I started mine for a personal journal but it has definitely evolved into something much bigger. Thanks for sharing!

This is a great post. I often think about why I blog. I don't always blog about the most serious things. But I think it's such a great way for me to get emotions out, share my (few) talents and connect with other people. Plus, it's just fun!!

I've considered writing a post about "why". Interesting question, isn't it? I wonder though if my answer is still evolving. Perhaps we should answer the question once a year? -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
