If you know anything about me, you know I love pictures. I always have my camera with me, and I always am ready to capture the moment. Some of this comes from the fact that since we moved a lot growing up, we never really had all of our pictures organized as well as we could with boxes being thrown around, ending up in storage, or being packed away somehow. I know they exist- the problem is that I’m just not quite sure where they physically are. Not being the digital age just quite yet, it wasn’t nearly as easy to access everything, which might be why I have pictures stored and backed up in every way I can imagine. I’ve compiled a CD every year since high school with all the pictures I’ve taken since I got my digital camera(s). I have them all stored on iPhoto, most on Facebook, and the greatest lifesaver ever – a Shutterfly Share Site.
I use to always go to CVS or Walgreens to get my pictures printed back in the day, but sometime my freshman year of college I was introduced to Shutterfly because they were offering a special deal for signing up on prints. So you know I was on board! Well, as it turns out, they offered so much more than just printing pictures, and they are all about offering some great deals. I’ve done Christmas cards, stationary, prints, calendars, plaques, and so many more projects on Shutterfly and have NEVER paid full price. They usually have some sort of deal going on whether it’s for shipping, based on how many of something you order, or a surprise deal on a percentage off. I almost always have an email waiting from them when I’m ready to order something. And the more you work with them, the more the deals come. I’ve made so many photo books (like our guest book for our wedding) for free or nearly so just being smart about when to order. Which is why I keep returning and investing in them, because they invest in me. Check out a tiny sample of the projects I’ve done so far…plus countless more in printing pictures!
Now, when you sign up for a Shutterfly account (which is FREE) you automatically get 50 free prints & when you create a share site, you get an additional 30 free prints. My share site holds all the pictures I upload to Shutterfly (which is every single picture I take. literally.) and is private which I love. I can share it with loved ones, have it split into albums, and even add other info as I choose. It can also be public so that’s a great option too. Basically, I’ve never been disappointed in Shutterfly and have always told everyone to use them! So when I was contacted about sharing their Summer Inspiration board, I was more than happy to as I was already telling everyone how awesome they are as is.
Through that opportunity I was able to work with them more and am so excited to share with y’all one of my favorite things from their Home Decor line that is pretty new. As y’all know, we just recently moved into our first house, and were in need of some wall and table decor. Our office space is decorated in all things Auburn, as it holds all of our diplomas (collectively we have four so it takes an entire wall for that- yeah, we’re dorks, and I love it) and some collectible items of our favorite spots in AU, so I found it only fitting to incorporate some photography of our favorite tradition on the loveliest village on the plains as well.
I was in love with the Mounted Wall Art as a way to incorporate some of my photography into our Auburn themed space. With the final rolling of Toomer’s still quite fresh, I figured that would be the perfect way to remember the tradition we so dearly loved. I searched my archives for the perfect picture, and landed on one from my early days of undergrad. I added some text as well, keeping it simple, but adding that professional touch. I waited patiently for that bright orange box to arrive, and I was so thrilled with how it turned out!
It completed our Auburn office and fit the space exactly as I wanted it to. I couldn’t be happier, and can’t wait to order my next project from Shutterfly as we continue to decorate the house!
Disclosure: I received a sample of the mounted wall art to review and I was not financially compensated in any way for this post. All opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations and experience with this product and with Shutterfly.
