As you know, college football season has kicked off! {Get your full printable SEC schedule freebie here if you haven’t already!} We love some good appetizers and are always looking for something other than a dip to do. We tried these chicken bacon bites last year and they were such a hit! Well, we tweaked the recipe a bit, and think they are even better now. So enjoy these incredibly easy bites at your next game, and be sure to come back for a full tailgating menu to come soon!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (about 4 breasts)
- 1 (1-pound) package sliced bacon
- 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes.
- Cut each bacon slice into thirds.
- Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick.
- Stir together brown sugar and chili powder.
- Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture.
- Placed on a cookie sheet (may need 2) that is lined with foil.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
