If you know me at all, you know of my love for Auburn and for our beloved tradition of rolling Toomer’s Corner. One of our good friends, Steve, has created a documentary so that we may forever remember this special tradition we have shared together as the Auburn family. I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited. Remember, when I shared our office decor with y’all it was 99% AU related, so being able to add this to our ever growing collection supporting our alma mater is a no brainier. Plus, we couldn’t be more excited to support such a great man and a wonderful friend in this endeavor.

About Toomer’s Corner: An Auburn Family Tradition

Hi. My name is Steven Dixon. I had the blessing to grow up in Auburn, Alabama and be a part of many celebrations at Toomer’s Corner. When the news broke in early 2011 that the trees had been poisoned, I went out to find history on the corner. To my surprise, no one had ever covered a full story on Toomer’s Corner. That’s when I decided to reach out to Auburn University and offer to create a full documentary on Toomer’s Corner.
Doing the research for this documentary has taken well over two and half years and it includes interviews with Margaret Toomer Hall, Gary Keever, Ph.D, David Housel and many others as well as old photos dating as far back to the mid 19th century. It’s been an honor to work on this project and provide a historic piece of Auburn’s history to be perserved forever. I hope you enjoy this story on one of the most unique and greatest college traditions of all time.
