I am BEYOND excited to introduce you today to the most precious little jewelry shop around. Alex Fly Designs. Hand crafted, unique jewelry, that is made from a place of love and generosity.
The designer is probably one of the most adorable people I have ever met. When she was a freshman at Auburn she started dating a friend of ours (who is like a little brother to us – and was one of our program attendants!) when the husband and I were in grad school. I remember one night we had them over for a dinner double date and telling her now husband that he best keep this one around because not only was she cute as a button, but her love for Jesus, others, and simplicity was evident in all she did. Now a newly happily married couple (and having had one of the most beautifully decorated weddings I’ve been to) she started this shop to share her creative talents. And she sure is good at it!
Let me just say I have already added almost half of her items to my wish list, and was giddy with excitement to receive the Simply String Necklace in the mail, and even on my birthday no less! Alex was so gracious to send this item for me to review, and is also graciously giving one lucky reader the opportunity to win one of their very own! First off, let’s talk logo. Aside from knowing Alex’s heart, I knew her jewelry line would b right up my alley before I even saw one piece simply because of her logo. Simple, elegant, and that precious little leaf. The only way it could be more perfect is if it were green ; )
When I received the necklace in the mail the first thing I noticed was the envelope. Talk about the cutest packaging ever! I knew right away I was getting quality on the inside simply because of the precious envelope that encased my surprise.
Even the card the necklace was on was presented with such care and thought, I knew how much love went into the necklace itself. I was truly astonished at just how lightweight the necklace truly was at first. After putting it on, (with the helpful hint to loop twice) I could barely feel it at all. And I love that. And it’s completely secure. I’ve worn it all day, doing outdoor activities, and several outfits changes, and it never got in the way at all. And it goes with simply everything. Perfect addition to a casual ensemble, but equally as spectacular for a dressier outfit. It is truly the definition of understated elegance.
