Angel Trees | updated

November and December are often the busiest times of year with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years celebrations. Families gather to embrace, feast together, and share gifts over the holidays. But what if you belonged to a family where this wasn’t a possibility? What if your parents could hardly afford to provide you with a meal, much less a feast or presents? Most everyone reading this will not go hungry tonight and will celebrate this season not only without lacking anything, but likely in excess of what we truly need to survive. This post is not to judge anyone who has plenty, but rather to call us to action for those who don’t. What if we could provide, if just a little, to a child who could benefit from what we have?

That’s where you come in! As bloggers, small businesses, Esty shop owners, etc., we are always looking to promote our space. What better way to do so to than to also help another who is in need? To give back to precious child at Christmas.

From now through the rest of October and the month of November, I will be offering paid sponsorships, all proceeds of which will be going directly to sponsor children in need in the Birmingham area. Won’t you join me in living out loving others?

Each year, my churchprovides Christmas gifts for hundreds of area children. Trinity’s Angel Treeswill hold “angels” of the children to be sponsored. The FESTIVAL OF THREE KINGS (the event where Angel Tree gifts are distributed to area families) is an event is held to give Birmingham area kids in need a Christmas filled day of games, prizes, shoes, snacks and more while their parents get their presents secretly from Santa!

Your sponsorship will go directly to fund as many angles as we can!
Angel Trees! We invite you to sponsor a child this Christmas.
We are looking for volunteers to sponsor children all ages up to 18.
I would love for you to join in with to serve these precious children during this holiday season.
You can purchase one of the following options:

250×250 space (with multiple social media shoutouts) for $10  {will run for 30 days}

150×150 space (with intro social media shoutout)  for $5 {will run for 30 days}

Twitter mention (tweet will include “#ad” hashtag) for $1 {unlimited purchases of these}

Email me if you are interested in participating {simplyfreeblog@gmail.com}.

I can’t wait to promote your blog/business and in doing so help a community who needs it during this time. After all, isn’t that what the holidays are for? Sharing the love of Christ through action. Won’t you join me this season?

UPDATE ON GIVING:

Because of YOUR generosity in giving, through sponsorships, ads, and gracious donations, we were able to purchase the number one item on the wishlist for a 10 year old boy to have this year at Christmas. I am so very exited as this gift will be able to promote healthy lifestyle and activity choices for our little guy, as well as get him into the community, provide opportunity for safe transportation to things like tutoring and the park, and allow him to just be a kid. It is my prayer that every time he rides this bike, he will know that he is loved, and that he is special. Please keep our “angle” in your prayers as he receives his gift and experience the love of Christ through His servants.
