As with everything, our decorative theme this holiday season is a rustic one. Traditional reds and greens with pops of silver & gold make our holiday decorations last through the whole winter season. When choosing how to decorate, I wanted something that would be classic so I could reuse pieces every year. Our biggest theme choice was snowflakes for that very purpose! We also both love penguins (which was one of the first things we joked about when we first started dating) so of course what better time to break out our obsession than in our little winter wonderland?

So here’s to wishing you a very Merry Christmas from me & the husband!

While Thanksgiving is certainly my favorite holiday, Christmas is close behind. It is a time of family and over the years that family has grown and blossomed into something quite special. December is also the month when we adopted our precious little Samantha (who to this day still sleeps on her favorite snowflake blanket we bundled her up in on the way home for the first time!). One of my favorite pictures from her first Christmas will give you an idea of why our mischievous little munchkin enjoys this time of year every bit as much as we do : )
And since everyone is getting into the season, even my phone has been transformed into the holiday spirit with Carol of the Bells as my ringtone & these fun designs as my backgrounds!
What are some of the things you do to get in the Christmas spirit??
