You may remember my post back in fall about finding the beauty in nature. I have always loved the different seasons and the way in which each new frame of time is painted in it’s very own set of colors. Each giving birth to newness that only it can bring. I’ve long paralleled periods of life – of joy, of happiness, of grief, of suffering & waiting – as seasons. Seasons in which we are to learn from what the Lord is teaching us. Seasons in which we may want to linger, or hurry quickly through, are marked by colors of their own, painting the picture of our lives just as mother nature sets the tone on Earth.
I’ve been longing to capture every season of life; to look fondly on the moments that have shaped us and molded us as the Potter caresses the clay and fashions us into His image. As nature is one of the most illuminating ways I see the image of God, I thought what better way to capture the majesty of the Creator then with the beauty of the creation? The trees behind our house are the perfect spot for this little project, and I can’t wait to continue with spring and summer. Take a look at our winter wonderland, thanks of course to the double #snowpocolypse that plagued the state in rare fashion.
What is your favorite season? I would love to see how you capture it’s beauty!
