Last month my annual conference was held and this year the husband go to join me for the fun! This year ABAI was in Chicago, so we had a blast exploring the city when I wasn’t in talks soaking in new research within behavior analysis. There are a TON of museums and fun venues to see in the windy city, and the best way to take it all in was renting bikes for the day. The weather was beautiful during our stay, which made it even more perfect. We rode the bus system for longer treks and took the “L” in from the airport to save money instead of a cab (I mean $2.50 each compared to $45? Score.) And it was really fun! Navigating the city was a bit overwhelming at first, but reminded me of adventures out of the country so it was great to prep with the husband for future travels as he is more of a homebody, while I tend to have my passport in tote.
All in all the trip was a blast! The conference was a big success, celebrating 40 years, and the company after hours was the best imaginable. Can’t wait for future adventures like this one!
Some of our favorite places/items are pictured below. Enjoy reliving this fun trip with us!
Museums for days!
Fantastic deep dish pizza & local beers all around.
Fun times at the Willis Tower & the Sky Deck Ledge – before it cracked a few days later!
And a little from the convention from my nerdy side : )
Have you been to Chicago? What was your favorite spot?
