It is no secret that I am more than obsessed with coffee. So it was basically one of the best days when I got the word that my favorite spot in the house was going to be getting a makeover. A few years ago, I got a Keurig for Christmas and it was seriously the best gift ever. Incredibly practical and perfect for saving time in the mornings too. So when I was offered the opportunity to review the new Keurig 2.0 I was beyond thrilled.
I generally have time for one cup in the morning on the way out the door on the way to work, but on the weekends, time allows for more than that and I always debate pulling out the full coffee pot and brewing a whole pot. But the husband does not share my affinity for a caffeinated brew, and we never need that many cups. The carafe for the 2.0 is spot on because while he can make his solo decaf cup, then I can make the carafe and sip on 3-4 cups throughout the morning, which is perfect when Madre visits or if a friend spends the night as well. The larger carafe pods come in so many different flavors as well so you don’t have to sacrifice taste when making a larger batch of coffee.
I also love that I can brew at different strengths and choose the cup size and a very simple touch screen. I can even just get hot water on command for some of my speciality teas that don’t come in kcups. You can even set the auto timer for it to turn on and off. And it’s also a lot easier to refill the water reservoir on this new model. It’s the little things y’all. There is also a night light you can change colors on, as well as changing the background images on the main screen. Pretty fancy. I certainly recommend the 2.0 to everyone interested in getting a Keurig for the first time or upgrading to a newer version!
