I can’t believe it’s that time of year again, but 2014 is now complete and it’s 2015! Check out previous book lists, as well as reviews, on my read it. page. And if you’re not already on Goodreads, you should totally check it out & join me for the 2015 book challenge! Here’s what I read in 2014, and what you should go grab a copy of…
A Wolf at the Table | I always enjoy a good laugh, and this one certainly delivered. Not my favorite of his, but certainly worth reading!
Sellevision | Not gonna lie, not my favorite. It was much different than his other books, and after this one I’ll likely stick to David Sedaris over Augusten Burroughs.
And The Mountains Echoed | Amazing. I mean, this man is just a brilliant writer. Can’t wait for the next book he puts out and I hope it’s soon!
Simply Christian | Whoever said N.T. Wright was the modern age C.S. Lewis was spot on. Great stuff for believers or those simply searching for truth and meaning.
The Cuckoo’s Calling | Good detective book. I love the setting and enjoyed this one more than the Casual Vacancy as it felt more genuine and less like J.K….I mean Robert Gailbraith was trying to prove that he could write an “adult” book.
Mystic River | Dennis Lehane has got a wonderful mind. I love the twists!
God is Just Not Fair | I really like how Jennifer writes, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Read the full review here.
The God First Life | Ok as a companion book, great reminders, but not much new that I haven’t heard before. Read the full review here.
Kisses from Katie | My heart belongs to missions and Katie’s story is simply beautiful.
Answers for Chicken Little | If you’ve every had questions about he book of Revelation, you need to pick this book up. A fantastic companion when diving into the scriptures.
Salvation on Sand Mountain | A great read, especially if you’re from the south. Very interesting!
The Fault in our Stars | If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about on this one like I was, you will be pleasantly surprised. John Greene knocks it out of the park. Check out this post to see more.
German Shorthaired Pointers | Since neither the husband or I have had a dog before, he ordered this as soon as we know our little girl was going to be ours! Now I must admit, he read the whole book while I just skimmed over it after he was done, but it has turned out to be pretty informative.
The Last Lecture | Such a good read. Quick, but quite heartfelt. I totally cried. A lot.
100 Days of Real Food | Fantastic cookbook! Read my full review here.
Yes or No | Good quick read on making decisions. Read my full review here.
Making Sense of the Bible | Adam Hamilton does it again. We went through this in a bible study, and I fully recommend being in community to read it!
Gone Girl | Y’all, Gillian Flynn might just be one on my new favorite authors. SO good. Currently reading Sharp Objects…
