5 tips for Organization & Productivity

DSC_0243

Last month I talked about my new gorgeous planner and getting organized for the new year. Well today I wanted to share 5 simple tips for making sure you are organized and productive for 2016!

1| Have a method to keep track of all your events! I keep an agenda for all my work & personal events as well as using a calendar to keep track of this space as well. I highly recommend color coding as well to keep organized. (ps – there’s still time to get the planner above for 10% off! See how here.)

2| Everything in your home/office/car should have a designated space to “live”. This will help you with being able to find where things are each day! Have a spot for your keys, your mail, your phones…basically all the things you access! When everything has a place, it’s easier and quicker to clean your spaces as well.

3| Make sure you take care of yourself! Your health certainly impacts your productivity and one big thing with this is your eyesight. In keeping organized, I like to keep a pair of glasses at home & at work in case I ever forget a pair in my purse. That way I never have to strain my eyes, which leads to a major headache, and zero work being accomplished. And Firmoo is certainly my go to for my glasses! Firmoo has fashionable glasses at affordable prices, both with and without prescriptions. You can even upload your picture and see what glasses would like on your face using their Virtual Try On system. Best of all, you don’t ever have to pay hundreds of dollars for glasses again, so you can afford to get more than one pair of glasses and really explore your style!

4| Make a to do list! Or several. It’s easy to forget what all you have to do if you don’t write it down. I always have a list for personal items, work items, and family items (like groceries, chores, etc.). And most days I make a shorter daily list from everything that needs to be done as it is an always growing list. This helps to prioritize what you have to accomplish & there is nothing more satisfying than crossing off each item on the list! Also, when you break it down into smaller lists, it’s easier to see what all you have accomplished instead of just seeing all the items you just though to add to the list that have yet to be done.

5| Give yourself some break time! You will be way more productive if you allow some time for fun in your busy schedule. This way you won’t get overwhelmed with all the things you have to do and you’ll have some time to reenergize. Also, when you schedule break time as an item on your list, you can cross it off as well 😉
