Lady A, Sam Hunt & Hunter Hayes

Print

We love music and have long enjoyed going to concerts over the years, our most recent concert was this past fall. We have also grown to love Oak Mountain Amphitheatre as a venue! So much more intimate than huge arenas. This summer we had made plans to see the Wheels Up Tour with Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, and Sam Hunt – and it was a fantastic show!  The husband is always finding new music long before I do and all about the sound and instrumental flow of songs and a while back he had found Sam Hunt and introduced me to his stuff and I was hooked. I think that’s really the main reason he found this particular concert! Lady A was just a huge bonus for me. And Sam Hunt was spot on. Honesty, I wish he would have been on longer than Hunter Hayes because the husband and I both really  enjoy his music. Now going in, Hunter Hayes was number three on our list from an excitement value, but I rather enjoy his music, and goodness is he one talented little man. Sadly, we were a bit disappointed in his show. The musically portions were great, but he was very difficult to hear when singing and even harder to understand. Lady A killed it. They really put on a great show and sound every bit as fabulous live. And they did an acoustic cover of Thinking Out Loud in the middle of the theater on a makeshift mini stage. Incredible.

We had great seats + some shade! This is where that selfie stick would be handy…Also this was Emma’s first concert 🙂 I was 11 weeks pregnant at this time and trying to still nausea free!

Others we are itching to see live:

Drake White (we were so sad we couldn’t go when he was just in Bham!)

Ed Sheeran

Adele

TSwift

Little Big Town

On Pandora currently:

Munford & Sons Radio or Ed Sheeran Radio usually – though I’m loving Ellie Goulding these days as well!

Who are your favorites currently? I love new music!
