Welcome to Le Tote. One of several subscription boxes available that get delivered right to your door. But this one is a bit different. It’s $59/mo ($69/mo for maternity clothing). You get to borrow the 3 pieces of clothing and 2 accessories sent to you. Wear them as much as you want to. And then return them if you don’t want to keep them. If you end up wanting to keep some or all of them, you get to purchase them at a 20-50% discount too. And you can send back for another box as often as you like for the one monthly fee. I was excited to try this box out as clothing shopping with a two month old is not ideal. You get to pick out items online first so they can send your stylized box. I wasn’t overly impressed with the options I saw online, however I was less impressed once the box arrived. Here’s what I got:
My box total retail was ~ $400 so I was a bit let down by the overall quality of the items in my box. I was obsessed with the floral shirt online but the fit was way off – it was entirely too short (like above my belly button short)Â and the wrap was sewn together instead of being buttoned. I was excited to find a cute top that could be easily opened for nursing so that was a let down. The blazer was also really cute, but the shoulder pads were down right annoying. I liked the idea of the dress being button up and knee length, and it fit ok, but the pattern really wasn’t my style at all. The colors of the scarf were great, but the material was very itchy! Overall, the clothes didn’t seem fresh and were more like borrowing hand me downs than trying fun new pieces. My favorite piece was the necklace however, it was spot on! Overall, I liked the idea of Le Tote, however it’s not something I would likely try again. I think I would be more interested in clothing that is new to try on at home then purchase if desired or jewelry. I think the jewelry on a “borrow” basis would be a good option though!
