Some of my wonderful coworkers threw me the loveliest shower at work before my leave began and I could not be more thankful for these sweet ladies. There was an advice tree, the “baby” game (where you have clips & can’t says the word “baby”), and had loads of incredible food including this amazing jello punch that I’ve included the recipe for below. There were also churros which are my absolute favorites! They even made a competition which was hilarious to watch! I know I’ve said it before, but I love my job, and I love the people I work with!
Before everyone got there – should have gotten another with all the gifts! They truly spoiled us with their generosity!
We moved all the flowers to my office after the ladies who hosted put a few vases in their offices. It was a perfect reminder of the sweetness of the day!
Jello Punch Recipe
Ingredients:
- 5 c hot water
- 2 c sugar
- 3 oz jello (either strawberry or cherry)
- ½ cup of lemon juice
- 2 (46 oz) cans of pineapple juice
- 1 1/2 tsp almond extract
Directions:
- Combine 3 cups water with the 2c of sugar.
- Bring to boil for five minutes.
- Dissolve jello in mixture and add 2 cups hot water.
- Add lemon and pineapple juice, and almond extract.
- Pour into containers and freeze hard overnight.
- I usually put it in a big freezer safe bowl – or plastic pitchers you would put sweet tea in.
- Take out of container and defrost to a slush.
- Pour either ginger ale or 7 up over it.
*Note: This recipe is one that a coworker’s grandmother had used for years! So fun to share 🙂
