Emma is 7 months old! I can’t even believe it. She has so much personality and is constantly moving and babbling about something! It’s so hard to believe she’s ours sometimes and that we’ve been blessed to be her parents! Each month she just amazes me more than the last and just when I think I can’t love her more I do. That smile gets me every time! Our annual family vacation is usually a trip to the beach so this year we took little miss along and it was a success! We had NO IDEA just how much stuff it takes to take a baby on a beach vacation, but we took it all lol. Get excited because I plan on devoting an entire post to beach baby essentials because we learned a lot from that trip! But she seemed to have a blast in her little tent on the sand and especially loved splashing around in the pool with us!
This month Emma also sitting up fully by herself! She’s been sitting up with some help for a bit now and could hold on to things, but now she’s doing it all by herself & is such a big girl! She is certainly loving sitting in the highchair and cart when we go out because she can see everything and be involved. And our covered goods & milk snob covers have been clutch for this as well! She’s taken a new fancy to straws and is really interacting with her teethers a lot more lately. She’s still chewing on everything and drooling, but no teeth have popped up just yet. She’s still quite in love with the puppy and is about to have another new friend to pet soon! No, we are not getting another GSP (much to the husband’s dismay) BUT one of our good friends is so Emma went along to meet the new addition and it. was. precious.
Measurements:
- 15 lbs 10 oz
- 27 inches
- breastfeeding and formula – single foods as well!
- 0-3 month & 3 month clothing. She’s moved into some 3-6 month clothes too! And we need to get her some more fall items 🙂
- size 1 diapers
This month we also celebrated Grandma’s (my mom’s) birthday, Emma was baptized, we had lots of football parties with friends, and we literally crawled around everywhere. And I mean everywhere! Little miss got her first real fever and was quite pitiful, but mommy sure did enjoy time at home snuggling and taking care of her. I’m now down to nursing just in the mornings and sometimes before bedtime, so I’ve really come to cherish our time alone together nursing even more than usual as I know it’s coming to close for this current chapter as we continue to introduce more foods and she continues to grow. Speaking of foods, she’s gobbled up everything really well, with the exception of bananas, so we can’t wait to introduce more finger type foods soon!
Loves:
- sweet potatoes
- rolling around & crawling everywhere
- putting everything in her mouth
- all the snuggles
Hates:
- not being allowed to roll over (think changing her diaper…)
- bathtime – I wouldn’t say hate, but it’s not her favorite
