Wedding season has been in full swing this fall and that means all sorts of showers and teas that come along as well! Â Weddings bring all sorts of fun traditions, and this is one I love. The maid of honor keeps the ribbons from gifts opened at each gathering. Then, either at the shower or later, she creates a bridal shower ribbon bouquet for the bride to use at the rehearsal.
Not only is this used for “practice” as the bride walks down the aisle, it’s a fun project that is simple and quick to make. The greater the variety in the bows the better! And the best part is that is practically free to make!
Bridal Shower Ribbon Bouquet
SUPPLIES:
- bows, ribbons, and fun extras from your bridal shower gifts
- tape
- scissors
- paper plate
DIRECTIONS:
- cut a hole in the middle of the plate
- pull loose ribbon from open gifts through the hole in the plate, leaving the bow on top of the plate
- continue with all ribbons!
- tape loose bows to the top of the plate if they don’t have any ribbon to pull through
- continue until all the bows have been used!
- wrap one of the ribbons around the loose ends hanging through to make a “handle” and tie
*careful the bride to be doesn’t “break” any of the bows when unwrapping if she’s the one opening the presents. The total number of “broken” bows = the number of kids they will have!
And there you go, a bridal shower ribbon bouquet to use at the rehearsal dinner! I love that all the colors of the different ribbons come out strong in this one!
