Travel is something that is vastly important to me. Through mission work, cultural exploration, and simply just for entertainment – visiting other places throughout the world just brings joy to my heart! I’m certainly a wanderer at heart – I’ve lived all over and thrive on adventure. So when Wanderer Bracelets approached me I was rather excited.
I have several woven bracelets from my mission trips, so these certainly fit my style. I absolutely love the coordinates one, and I’m probably going to get several more of these. They even have a helpful widget to help you find your coordinates. How meaningful those numbers are to me for so many places! Currently, I chose Liepaja, Latvia for my coordinates. While this may be rather confusing to people as to why I didn’t choose somewhere like Birmingham (where I was married, where my daughter was born) or Auburn (where I met my husband, graduated, got engaged) Liepaja holds an incredibly dear place in my heart. Read this post to really understand why, but it was an incredibly pivotal experience for me.
The other two bracelets I got were the sea turtle (which branches off a story with my husband and our nicknames for one another) and the cross (rather self explanatory). I love the tassels and that they are not only adjustable, but easy to take on and off should I need to be dressed more professional for an occasion. Typically my other bracelets have been tied on and the thought of cutting one off just makes me cringe.
They have so many creative bracelets with either button closures or tassels and even wrap bracelets in such a variety of colors! There are several that are masculine as well, so don’t think this is just for the ladies guys. I can’t wait till Emma is old enough to choose her own! I truly hope to instill this quote from J.R.R. Tolkien:
Not all those who wander are lost.

The bracelets are handmade in Bali by artisans. Each of the pendants are carved from all natural, repurposed buffalo bone. The strands of thread are woven together, the water buffalo bone is carved, and even the bags and boxes are handmade before shipping to Florida where engraving takes place.
