I don’t know about you, but the holidays are a VERY busy season of life. And sometimes with busy, comes stress and anxiety. Along with this nagging feeling of being completely overwhelmed. Ladies, I’m right there with you. As a working mom, who’s also in school, the added tasks that come with the holidays are enough to make any sane woman a little crazy. And feeling utterly overwhelmed does little in the way of fill me with joy for the season.
That’s why, when I feel that nag coming – that overwhelm – I try to take a step back, be still, and breathe deeply in the comfort of His word that amidst all of the chaos, He is in control. So take comfort in knowing you are not only not alone in that feeling, but also that there is hope in His word for these times. Here are 15 verses for when you’re feeling overwhelmed. Take a moment to be still, read through these, and remember that He is more than all of our stress and anxiety!
âTherefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?… Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
