Smokey Mac & Cheese | Recipe

Our go to meals around here always have to include a kid friendly option that’s a solid winner. Enter the trusty mac & cheese! Well, you may remember that I mentioned a new smokey version over the holidays that was the perfect spin on this classic dish. As promised, here is the recipe!

Smokey Mac & Cheese

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb macaroni noodles
  • 4 cups milk warmed
  • 6 tbsps butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 20 oz shredded cheese
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Prepare Green Egg as you would  normally.
  2. Boil noodles 6-8 minutes
  3. Melt butter in sauce pan. 
  4. Stir in flower & stir untill golden brown.
  5. Add milk. Stir until thickens. 
  6. Add cheese, and melt. 
  7. Add pasta to pot, and stir to coat with cheese mixture. 
  8. Transfer all to baking dish.
  9. Cook in green egg for 30 mins or so until bubbly.
  10. Note: you can also bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes and is is quite tasty as well.
