Spirit week is always so fun because you can make it your own! Here was our lesson plan:
MONDAY – WACKY TACKY
Wear all your mix match wacky tacky outfits!
Morning:
- Video of Wacky Wednesday book video
- Wacky face coloring sheet (build a face cut & glue)
- Mr. potato head activity time – social goals with peers (post lunch or pre circle)
Afternoon:
- Wacky bingo (pg 4 Wacky Wednesday pdf) for snack/ conversation time
- GoNoodle milkshake song
- Twister game
- Draw a wacky world picture & present to peers (pg 3 Wacky Wednesday pdf)
TUESDAY – HAT DAY
Wear your favorite hat!
Morning:
- Cat in the Hat Book
- Hat mask craft (coloring sheet, paper plates, construction paper, popsicle sticks)
Afternoon:
- Present your hat to your peers & tell why you’re wearing it/why it’s your favorite
- Crown craft with “jewels” that are their values (construction paper, markers) & present each value to peers & what they are doing to move towards those values
WEDNESDAY – “ON WEDNESDAYS WE WEAR PINK”
Wear your pink (guys too) – all pink all day!
Morning:
- Read Pinkalicious
- Pinkalicious worksheets (skill appropriate from packet)
Afternoon:
- Watch Mean Girls Clips – conversation on bullying & friendship
- Role play peer interactions with conversation game
THURSDAY – SCHOOL COLORS
Wear all your favorite school colors – this could be your school, a siblings school, or your favorite college team!
Morning:
- Kick Run & Pass Book
- Coloring sheet for each school mascot or logo
- Shaker craft (Scissors, crepe paper, heavy duty tape, string)
Afternoon:
- Basketball (play HORSE)
- Football toss (outside to one another)
- Sports idioms matching game (pgs 4-9)
FRIDAY – PAJAMA DAY
Wear all your favorite PJs for a comfy day!
Morning:
- Llama Llama Red Pajama Book
- Video of Ludacris rapping Llama Llama Red Pajama
- Llama in bed craft (coloring sheet & construction paper)
Afternoon:
- Movie & popcorn!
