One of the many subset of what we do at SBH is to cultivate learning through weekly thematic units. Part of that process is reading stories during our group time together at the clinic. Out of this was born our youtube channel, and Story Time with SBH.
This is a GREAT opportunity for Naturalistic Environmental Teaching (NET). NET “is utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to teach in the natural environment, “the real world” where you focus on the verbal operants (echoics, mands, tacts, receptive identification, intraverbals, and motor imitation) and use the story to promote language development.
