We made these super fun and easy summer desserts to kick off memorial day weekend and summer itself – who doesn’t love dirt cups? My husband had the idea to bring up some nostalgia and teach Emma one the things we both remember so well from our own childhoods. So dirt cups for the win!
Summer Dirt Cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 package instant chocolate pudding 3.9-ounce/4 serving size
- 8 oz frozen whipped topping thawed
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate sandwich cookies crushed; about 16 – we like oreos
- 1 bag gummy worms divided; about 3-4 per cup
Instructions
- Whisk together milk and instant pudding for 2 minutes, until pudding is completely dissolved. Let stand 5 minutes to thicken.
- Fold in whipped topping
- Spoon pudding mixture into small clear cups
- Sprinkle crushed cookies on top of mixture
- Place 3-4 gummy worms into the "dirt"
- Refrigerate until served & enjoy!
