Since we moved the office upstairs, we needed to do something with the room downstairs that was rendered empty. When Glenn pitched the idea of a man cave, I was immediately a fan. We decided that it was the perfect use of our living room furniture (that was a decade old at this point as we bought it as newlyweds) and was the perfect spot for our beloved coke machine that we had never really found a home for when we moved into this house originally.
It was also the perfect place for us to put the multitude of Auburn artwork we had, and an opportunity to slim down our collection of books and paperwork we had yet to move upstairs to the new office. The result was a cozy, well loved space ready for all the sports endeavors. (And let’s be realistic, all the movies for Emma and her friends 😉 just the same).
The furniture is so old, but has been amazing in it’s longevity, but this set is quite similar. The coke machine is an antique, and the cabinet is one we found on the side of the road (no joke!) and redid when we first moved to Birmingham. This bar cart is similar to the one we found, and at a great price point, and the baskets were ones we already had. While we plan to replace the light fixture (project goodbye nipple lights) it does the job for now. I’ve gathered some of our favorite Auburn art work as well, that you can browse below.
