Boston was such a great trip! It had been ages since we were there last, but as Donna is from there we visited her family and it was delightful. We love the Larry books, and Larry Gets lost in Boston was such a perfect read to get a feel for the city before our excursions.
Where We Stayed
We love a Hyatt (hello points) so naturally we chose to stay at the Hyatt Regency Boston.
Where We Ate
When we travel, we usually opt for reservations for dinner, and for breakfast and lunch we seek out something nearby and usually it’s something low key, portable, or local street foods. Our meals were top notch this trip!
We have a cookbook by the same name, so naturally we wanted to visit the restaurant. And it was adorable – New Orleans flare with a New England twist.
We stumbled upon this place while walking around the city, and it was the perfect waterfront lunch spot.
I remember going here when I was a kid so it was so fun to go back! The baked scrod and clam chowder are just as I remembered them.
This was worth all the hype if you enjoy a sweet treat!
I adore a good Italian place, and this did not disappoint. The food was great, and the atmosphere was cozy.
What We Did
We love a good aquarium and this one was massive! I took way more pictures, however, my phone was stolen when we were at Quincy Market and I lost all of the pictures. So, while I don’t have a ton of pictures, it was incredible.
Fun fact, Glenn used to work at a Science Museum, so these museums are always just as much fun for us as they are for Emma. And this one was absolutely MASSIVE we had to take a break in the middle of the day to go visit China Town for lunch and then come back.
I have such fond memories of Quincy Market from my visits as a kid, so coming back was lots of fun. The day was tainted slightly by my phone being stolen, but the shops and food stalls were a great day adventure.
Boston Common & City Tour
In all our touring there were so many beautiful architectural spots to see and surprisingly more parks than we imagined.
We highly recommend doing a Duck Tour! It was a blast and our guide was hilarious.
China Town – Gourmet Dumpling House
Glenn’s one request was to visit China Town and it did not disappoint! He found the best dumpling place and the whole experience was a fun adventure.
