My 2025 Book List is here! These are always my favorite posts. And while all of this is captured in my Goodreads account – I so enjoy compiling these posts and refreshing on what exactly I read for the year.

While I didn’t meet my goal this year, I’m content in what I read this year! I did focus on more podcasts this year and I was a *tad* busy with other endeavors, so I found myself listening to less audiobooks than usual. I only read ONE thriller this year, spent a lot more time in scripture the second half of the year, and flipped through magazines (Real Simple

Emma wanted to reread through the HP books again (no complaints here) so we’ve been moving through those along with some other books. I read physical books to Emma & she reads them also. She’s also been reading on her own, and we set up a Goodreads for her to keep up with her own books too!
I generally read thriller or drama books in audiobook, and then anything faith based or something I want to reread I get a physical copy as well. In no particular order (just what Goodreads chose – we obviously read the HP books in order to finish out the series, read the Cursed Child, then started them over) here is this year’s list:

Love Your Life (Even When You Don’t Like It All the Time): A Realistic Guide to Unlocking Joy in Life’s Messy, Mundane, and Magnificent Moments – Can’t say enough about Rachel and this book. So privileged to have been on the launch team and watch this sweet friend launch her book into the world! Joy abounds through the pages. It’s like getting coffee with a friend who has been there, and is walking alongside you in life’s journey.
That’s Just Not True: How to Replace the Lies You Didn’t Know You Believed with God’s Unchanging Truth – Imagine you’re at coffee with your big sis or a trusted gal pal – that’s what this book is. The hard truths we need to hear covered in grace and a little bit of laughter. Erica is speaking truth into the lies we so often not only believe, but tell ourselves on repeat. So fun to be on the launch team for this one!
When Doing it All is Undoing You: Meeting God in Your Unmet Expectations – Oof. Such a timely read this year in the midst of some pretty big life events. Absolutely reccommend this one.
The Unplugged Hours: Cultivating a Life of Presence in a Digitally Connected World – Again super timely. And perhaps a reason why I didn’t quite meet my Reading Challenge goal this year. While the focus was stepping away from digital distractions, it was also a heart check on presence in all areas of life.
Wealthy and Well Known: Build Your Personal Brand and Turn Your Reputation into Revenue – A great book to reference time and again if you have a business, brand, or truly presence online at all. The resources alone are such a gift to refernce alongside the book!
The Let Them Theory: A Life-Changing Tool That Millions of People Can’t Stop Talking About (Principles & Practices) – Ok. I get that everyone is obsessed with this but (unpopular opinion) I just wasn’t that impressed. There were some good points, yes. And the idea of moving past what everyone else thinks is certainly one to take to heart. But it was a bit hard for me to finish this one; not become it was bad or the content was off base, it was just quite surface level and overhyped for me.

Business Secrets from the Bible: Spiritual Success Strategies for Financial Abundance – Read this with Rally and it had some incredible nuggets of wisdom!
The Bible Recap Kids’ Devotional: 365 Reflections and Activities for Children and Families to Read the Bible in a Year – Walked through this with Emma (and we’re still walking through it) but it is so fun with lots of different activities that she enjoys doing.
The Bible Recap: A One-Year Guide to Reading and Understanding the Entire Bible – Started strong in Jan, and then well, LIFE. Was super inconsistent in really diving in until September when I was able to lock in again and will always recommend this to walk through scripture.
The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level―A Transformative Guide to Overcoming Fears and False Beliefs for Personal Growth and Success – Read this with Rally and it was such a good challenging book to walk through alongside other female entrepreneurs!
Building a Non-Anxious Life – My husband listens to his podcast and frequently shares episodes with me so I thought it would be a good addition to my list. It was ok, but I think his podcast is a better listen as this became a bit redundant for me.
Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion – I follow along with Allie on social media, and really enjoy her desire to speak truth. I thought this one was very enlightening, challenging, and a good read.

The Teacher – wasn’t my favorite. And I didn’t read another thriller all year after this one.
Sunrise on the Reaping – such a good addition to the work of books in the Hunger Games universe. I’ve been impressed with the last two book after how well done the initial trilogy was and this one did not disappoint!
Harry Potter Wizarding Almanac: The Official Magical Companion to J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter Books – fun way to dive into the Wizarding World outside of the main story. Very cute read for any HP fan.
