If you know anything about me, you know I love a good blanket, and I love telling stories about the adventures we have been on throughout life. So naturally, when I was introduced to Project Repat several years ago I fell in love. I had entirely too many T-shirts to count, with barely a handful that I *actually* wore. But these shirts held too many memories to simply toss them. Insert the T-shirt quilts.
On top of preserving memories in such a cozy way, it’s also decreasing landfill waste, and creating jobs in the USA. All winning ideas in my book. And the process is seriously SO SIMPLE. Now, patience is certainly required, and there is a bit of leg work on your end, but they make the whole thing so easy to do from start to finish that it is 100% worth it.

Here’s a view of the most recent addition we ordered. After my clinical practice was successfully acquired last year, I knew I wanted to have my SBH T-shirts made into a quilt for my office to recognize and remember those years. And I absolutely cried when I opened the package, because the design was just perfect.
*Side note, if you want to order your shirts exactly how you want your blanket to come out, you can absolutely do that! There was something freeing for me in letting go of control with that aspect in this particular case that had lots of other layers at play for this Enneagram 1 with OCD, but we’ll save that for a different story 😉

We have 3 quilts so far (and will certainly be getting more as Emma grows up!) The sizes we have are as follows:
College T-Shirts:
- Quilt Size: Queen
- Panel Size: 12×12
Early Years T-Shirts:
- Quit Size: Twin
- Panel Size: 12×12
SBH T-Shirts:
- Quilt Size: Lap
- Panel Size: 14×14
I made this short video giving more details on our first two quilts that you should check out also!
