
We are always looking for new tailgating recipes, and being a native Texan I couldn’t pass this one up. This Texas Trash Dip was perfect for our game day gathering with friends! It’s warm, creamy, a little spicy, and perfect for fall with a bowl of chips and some football on in the background.

Texas Trash Dip
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cans refried beans 16 oz each
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 4 cups shredded cheese Mexican blend
- 1 package cherry tomatoes sliced
- 1 avocado sliced
- 1 bunch cilantro *diced, optional (topping)
- 1 cup black olives *sliced, optional (topping)
Instructions
- preheat oven to 350
- microwave cream cheese and sour cream to soften – 1 minute- 1 minute 30 seconds
- mix with a wire whisk until smooth
- add refried beans and taco seasoning; mix well
- add 2 cups of the shredded cheese; mix well
- prep 13×9 (or similar) baking dish with no stick cooking spray
- spread mixture into dish
- cover mixture with remaining 2 cups of shredded cheese
- bake for 20-25 minutes (or until cheese is melted)
- serve with tortilla chips
