Much like last year, Emma wanted a low key birthday celebration, so we had a few friends for a few activities rather than a large party again, and it was the best way to ring in double digits!

A girls lunch at Zaxby’s started our celebrations, then a few more gals met us at the trampoline park (a current fan favorite – there were so many parties that day for kids from her school it was a bit comical!) They jumped, and swung, and bounced for a while, then they played games (blindfolded make up to which sadly no pictures were taken!) and got changed for dinner.

We ventured back for a hibachi dinner at our local Japanese steakhouse and it did not disappoint. It’s always such a fun group meal and this year it was packed and quite bustling! (the tornado warnings decided to hold off until Sunday this year – followed by snow on Monday!)

We found the cutest little snack cups for the ice cream bar and did a super simple set up with toppings and ice cream for them to have. While our recent parties have been much less theme specific and formal “parties” it’s still always fun to have special little touches and cute decorations.
Then the gals watched a movie and had a sleepover! (which I am rather unsure if any sleeping was had but there sure was a a lot of laughter.) These pjs she got for Christmas were perfectly on theme, and of course I had to wear my somewhat matching (and completely adorable) pjs in solidarity as well.

Given the bow theme, I also got this cute little keychain as a fun little happy and cute reminder that we love her and that she, like the little gold bow, is bold strong and delicate, girly and gritty!

Our course we also had family celebrations, and my sister in law made this adorable banner for our lunch celebration that we put up at home for more dinner celebrations with my side of the family that night! Also, board games have been so fun to play, and The Game of Life Target Edition is a current favorite for all ages.

I can’t believe she’s now in double digits – time truly flies and I am so proud of the girl she is and is becoming!
