
Wondering what to do now that you’ve made your kid’s sandwiches and cut off all those crusts? One good option is to give the chickens a mid afternoon snack! However, if you’ve made sandwiches in bulk and have a lot, these homemade bread crust croutons are the perfect addition to a good salad! Plus it makes your kitchen smell divine while it heats!




Ingredients
- Bread crusts | white bread, wheat bread, sourdough – they all work in this recipe.
- Olive oil | I like to use olive oil but you can use vegetable oil or other oil if you prefer.
- Salt & Pepper | to taste
- Seasonings | An Italian mix is our preference (thyme, rosemary, basil, etc.) but you can use whatever!
Directions
- Tear leftover crusts into 1/2 inch pieces
- toss in olive oil and seasonings
- spread onto baking sheet
- bake at 350 degrees for 15 mins or until golden brown
