Monthly Musings | Vol 5

Here are some of our favorites from the month! The things I’d be texting or showing you if we were sitting across a table with lattes in hand.

I have been making Emma’s lunches this semester and I have been at a loss for what to do with the bread crusts leftover from making uncrustables – we’ve given some to the chickens but I don’t like giving them too much. So I was excited when this recipe actually worked!

I’ve also been really curious after several friends and trusted influencers had been posting (for years now honestly) about natural peptides. So I’ve started looking into more things on my wellness journey and this has been a game changer!

May has been filled with the end of school festivities and has been non stop! I can’t wait to share all about Emma’s first concert experience – it was amazing! We took lots of videos and she had the best time. Followed up by a trip to the beach with our best friends. I mean, who could ask for a beter start to the summer?!

Aside from my mini series posts (like this one, Monthly Musings) I’ve committed this year to doing two other series of posts which have been fun to recap things and document: Currently Curating & Behavior Briefings.

I’ve also started posting over on our @simply_elliott Instagram page and our Pinterest page a bit more this year and leaning into other avenues. In doing all of this (and balancing where to post and what to share etc.) I’m finding out that I really do hate when people post solely for the purpose of trying to sell you something or make a commission and how that’s something I am so put off by. It’s also really made me want to remain as clear as possible that when I share something that yes, I am absolutely going to share the commissionable link, but also that I truly do stand by the products, collaborations, or pitches I take on or share. That’s honestly why this space tends to fluctuate in the content as my life does.
